The Body Keeps the Score: Brain, Mind, and Body in the Healing of Trauma by Bessel Van der Kolk, M.D. – Part 1

One of my bestie’s, Jesslynn Cody Armstrong and I had an amazing time reviewing my favorite book of the past decade. We’ve have had so many epiphanies reading this book we’ve lost count! If you were raised in any kind of dysfunction, this book will blow your mind. Dr. Van der Kolk’s clinical and research based masterpiece shows how early childhood disconnection, stress and dysfunction can cause “developmental trauma” which is the root cause of intractable health challenges, substance/behavior addictions and relationship struggles in adult life. Part 2 of this book review will air on Thursday November 2nd at 7pm PST.
